I decided to go out last night and experiment with my camera to see what photographs I could get when concentrating on light.

I decided to experiment with, at first, both light and a 'ghosting' effect. I set my shutter speed at 10s, and waited for a car to pass, I then sent my model out into the road so that the lights look like they went straight through the model. I think this worked really well, but the atmosphere doesn't benefit the shot itself. I need to try shutter speed on a motorway from a bridge, so that I can get the light trails left by the cars without the light pollution the road gives.

The light pollution on this shot I took wasn't that bad, but in order to gain better photographs and a better understanding of shutter speed, I will need to repeat this shoot on a motorway where there is less light pollution, to fully concentrate on the light trails left by cars.

I took this shot to concentrate on the movement of the cars on a quiet road, just to get the red light trail. However, I also ended up catching the movement of the clouds, which worked in my favour. This shot, again, would have been better if there wasn't as much light pollution.
