After researching into the work of Michael Bosanko, I decided to have a go at light painting myself.

The light painting of Michael Bosanko would be difficult to replicate to the same standard, as we only had one colour of torch. I instructed my model to hold the torch and bounce of the walls of the back alley, changing the height of the torch each time. I think this worked well and is my favourite shot from the light painting shoot.

This is not necessarily light painting, but I used a torch to highlight my model in a variety of different positions to compose a blurred background effect, with a brighter shot of the model in the foreground. I thought this concept worked well, so I decided to include it in this post.

Both of these photographs we shot by simply swinging the torch around by the string we attached. These shots worked well in constructing a circular and slashed pattern in the air. The bottom shot looks like a circular Chinese inspired pattern, which worked very well and looks visually exciting.

Here, I span around holding the torch to create a 'portal' effect. If I wanted to experiment with editing techniques, I came up with the idea of imposing a persons figure in the middle of the spiral, which would look interesting and give the photograph a meaning. This photograph made me very dizzy!!
