Sola (Light Bombing Artist)

Sola is a light graffiti artist who specialised in both street and studio 'light bombing'. I take inspiration from Sola's work because of the energy inside the photograph makes the viewer feel alive.

The energy of the strokes that have been used in Sola's photograph give the viewer a sense of life, energy and movement. Although I will never be able to recreate Sola's images to the same artistic ability, I want to look at making the light paintings on a bigger scale in the urban environment.

This will mean I will need a bigger light rather than a small LED torch, such as a heavy duty torch or sparklers etc. I will also need an assistant to either do the drawing and graffiti or to man the camera, so no one runs off with it!
