Makeshift Product Studio

To gain a better insight into lighting before the lighting workshop I am going to have tomorrow, I wanted to create a makeshift studio in my bedroom to gain a better understanding of how lighting falls when you concentrate it a certain way. I used a lamp from my bedroom and led it on its side on a bed, and occasionally held it up above the product to concentrate it on the clock face.

This is my favourite shot from the shoot, because of how the lighting has fallen on the clock face to make the background mysterious and dark. This, in turn, has made the clock face stand out and be the main attraction of the photography, which is what product photography is all about! I edited this simply by applying some contrast to make the details stand out more.
